Answer “Tell Me About Yourself”
Focus on your professional life and use the the present-past-future formula:
Present: describe where you’re currently at with your career.
Past: explain how your previous roles (papeis, funções) and experiences shaped (moldou, moldaram) your professional self.
Future: outline your career plans and how this role aligns with them. Example: My name is John Mendes. I’m a marketing director at AlphaBeta Software, and I’m responsible for developing marketing and branding (marca) strategies while coordinating a team of 30 people. It’s been pretty exciting; we’ve managed to grow (crescer) the customer base by 50% and boost (impulsionar) revenue (renovar) by 30% over the past 12 months under my leadership .
• Example 1
I noticed that the job offer listed attention to detail as a desirable skill for the position. I’d say that attention to detail is, in fact, my greatest strength.
• Example 2
I am a good Team worker | I am easy working in a team. Attentive – atenciosaGreatest strength – principal ponto forte.
What are your weaknesses? • Too much details.
Example: “My greatest weakness is that I sometimes focus too much on the details of a project and spend too much time analyzing the finer points. I’ve been striving to improve in this area by checking in with myself at regular intervals and giving myself a chance to refocus on the bigger picture. That way I can still ensure quality without getting so caught up in the details that it affects my productivity or the team’s ability to meet the deadline.”
• Trouble to say noExample:
“My greatest weakness is that I sometimes have trouble saying ‘no’ to requests and end up taking on more than I can handle. In the past, this has led me to feel stressed or burnt out. To help myself improve in this area, I use a project management app so I can visualize how much work I have at any given moment and know whether or not I have the bandwidth to take on more"
